It followed a tight game the last time two teams met, in which the Magic prevailed by five points.
This time the Magic did its damage in the first half.
It led 46-19 at halftime, dominating at both ends to leave Varsity chasing the game.
The Magic’s inside quartet of Natalie Visger, Lisa Wallbutton, Fay Fualau and Letitia Mullaly proved strong.
They accounted for from 10 to 14 points each, both around the hoop and shooting from the high post, while dominating the offensive glass.
Guard Millie Simpson was a constant threat in transition, getting to the hoop to top-score with 21 points, while Georgia Te Au provided a perimeter threat in draining four three-pointers.
It proved too much for Varsity to handle.
The students struggled offensively.
While they began to gain parity in the second half and find their scoring touch, it proved too much to come back from.
Point guard Rosie Davison started getting to the hoop and finished with 14 points, while forward Sophie Adams chipped in with 13.
But the Magic continued to push in transition and crash the offensive glass to maintain its buffer.
