She finished the season as the league’s leader in assists with 5.2 per game, while also putting up 10.2 points and 5.6 rebounds per game.
Gavin Briggs was awarded coach of the year.
The longtime Dunedin coach is in his first year with the team, having finished with the Junior Tall Blacks last year.
The Gold Rush also won the league’s social media award.
Harbour Breeze guard Brooke Blair won most valuable player, completing a dominant season.
She led the league in scoring at 17.8 points per game as she helped the side to an unbeaten regular season.
Blair joined Richards in the All-Star Five, alongside Letava Whippy (Capital Swish), Ashleigh Kelman-Poto (Harbour Breeze) and Makayla Daysh (Waikato Wizards).
Bevan Murray of the Auckland Dream won general manager of the year.
