Gore had a great chance to get its holiday shopping in at the Christmas Market, held at the Gore Town & Country Club last Sunday.
The annual event, able to be entered for a gold coin donation, featured over 70 vendors selling various artisan goods.
There was knitting, liquorice, foods and crafts from a wide range of cultures, and even face painting for the children.
Christmas Market convener Zaynor Smith said the event always had people coming out to enjoy the day.
"From the amount of money we get in the buckets, it’s hundreds, and it’s grown every year and become bigger and bigger," she said.
The event is non-profit, with all proceeds being donated to a charity.
Mrs Smith said this year, the proceeds were going to help out the agricultural sector after a difficult year for farmers.
"We have charities every year and want to keep it local, so this year it was the Southland Rural Support Trust.
"I think it was a good charity to support, because the farming season was really tough," she said.
