Two people have been seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash near Edendale in Southland overnight.
A police spokeswoman said they were called to the scene, on Edendale-Seaward Downs Rd, about 2.20am today.
Two people were taken to hospital, one with critical injuries, another with serious injuries.
The road was closed for a time but reopened about 4.45am.
Police inquiries are ongoing.
