Former Southland Times editor dies

    Former editor of The Southland Times and journalism stalwart Fred Tulett has died.

    The 77-year-old died peacefully at home at Lakes Hayes Estate, Queenstown, on Monday.

    Mr Tulett left The Southland Times in 2013 after 15 years as editor and more than 50 years in journalism.

    A service to celebrate Mr Tulett’s life will be held in Alexandra on Friday.
