A fire in a Winton school classroom prompted a callout from the Winton Fire Brigade last night.
A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman said two crews from the Winton Volunteer Fire Brigade attended about 5.30pm.
The fire was extinguished and the crews left the scene about 6.50pm.
Central Southland College wrote on social media a small fire had broken out in their technology block.
"School will continue as normal tomorrow, with the exception that the affected area will be cordoned off to allow for the cause of the fire to be investigated." — APL
