Paralympic skier Corey Peters finished in third place at the FIS Para Alpine Super G World Cup held in Italy last week.

The bronze marks Peters’ first major event podium since his exceptional double-medal performance at the 2022 Beijing Paralympic Winter Games.

Peters was thrilled with the result.

"It’s been a long time since my last podium in Beijing. It’s certainly a good feeling to be back mixing it up with the top guys on the World Cup circuit."

"I’m still not back to where I want to be in the speed disciplines, particularly after the injury back in 2023. I’m continuing to work hard to get there and looking forward to finishing the season strong in the upcoming downhill events in Italy."

Conditions were challenging for Peters — the fast course set coupled with the firm, bumpy snow surface meant the sit skiers had their work cut out for them, with plenty of athletes taking air as they flew down the course.

Jeroen Kampschreur of The Netherlands took the win by a significant margin. Norwegian Magnus Valoe Balchen claimed second position by just -0.12 seconds ahead of Peters.

Peters will continue to race and train hard with his team for the rest of the 2025 northern hemisphere season, with plenty more racing scheduled in Italy over the coming month.

With the one year-to-go mark to the 2026 Milano Cortina Paralympic Winter Games just one week away, this is a fantastic result from Peters.

This race is the second of three back-to-back Super G FIS Para Alpine World Cup races, Peters was back in action for the final race last night.
