Two people were injured in a crash that has closed a section of Northlake Drive in Wānaka this morning.

A van had flipped on its side and a section of Northlake Drive (between Mount Linton Ave and Outlet Rd) was closed.

A Hato Hone St John spokesperson said one ambulance had attended and transported two patients - one in a moderate condition and one in a minor condition - to Wānaka Lakes Health Centre.

A police spokesperson confirmed officers responded to the two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Northlake Drive and Outlet Rd at about 7.40am.

They said the impact had caused one of the vehicles to roll and that as of 9.50am the road was still blocked.
