Police yesterday released the name of the man who died while cycling near Wānaka over the weekend.
He was Hiroto Shimura, a 25-year-old Japanese national.
Emergency services were called to the two-vehicle crash involving a cyclist at the intersection of State Highway 84 and Anderson Rd about 3.50pm on Saturday.
