Police have named the man killed in a crash near Bluff yesterday morning.
Laulalatoa Seau (65), of Invercargill, was the front seat passenger of a southbound Mazda that collided with the rear of a truck and trailer unit about 7.20am.
The crash happened near roadworks just outside the northern boundary of Bluff.
The driver of the car was taken to Southland Hospital with minor to moderate injuries.
The truck's driver was shaken but uninjured.
Sergeant Dave Kennelly, of Invercargill, said an investigation into the cause of the crash was continuing.
