Emergency services attended a single vehicle crash about halfway between Clinton and Waipahi this afternoon.
Police, Fire and Emergency and St John were called to the crash at the intersection of Strathearn Rd and the Waipahi Highway (State Highway 1), just before 3pm.
A police spokeswoman said it appeared the driver of the car had hit a bank on the side of the road.
There were no other occupants in the car.
The driver was treated by paramedics for a broken arm and taken to hospital.
