Truck drivers escape crash

Two truck drivers escaped serious injury when their trucks crashed just north of Milton yesterday afternoon. Constable Robin Hutton, of Milton, said emergency services were called to the collision on State Highway 1 just north of Milton about 4.30pm.

He said police did not yet know the cause of the crash, which would be referred to the serious crash unit.

The two men driving the trucks were attended at the scene for minor injuries, by St John Ambulance staff.

One lane of State Highway 1 was closed to traffic for nearly two hours, as emergency services worked to clear the wreckage.
