"She has a heart for students for whom English is the second language and spends hours finding and making resources for them," nominator Sarah Reid said.
"She uses imaginative and creative ways to increase their learning and they love the one-on-one time they get to spend with Mrs Sharpin."
Mrs Sharpin said her work was not work at all.
"When a child you’ve been working with sees you and comes running up excited to ask if they’ll be with you that day, you know you’re making a difference."
