A new all models and makes car show is set to debut at Caroline Bay this weekend.

Hosted by the South Canterbury USA Classic Car Club, the first All Comers Car Show will have a plethora of cars, trucks, utes and motorcycles on display.

Organiser Craig Timmings said the new show was a way to get all the clubs from around the region together.

"We’ll have someone there from most of the clubs like the Tornadoes, Out of the Garage, there’s a Japanese club guy that’s come along — but basically we just want to get everyone together to have a show and raise a bit of money.

"We also have had the Holden and Ford clubs lending a helping hand.

"Everyone has been pretty keen, which has been great."

He said all the funds raised from the show would be donated to Cardiac Kids Club and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter.

"If we manage to raise a bit more then hopefully we’ll be able to give some to someone else as well."

It would just be a nice, casual type of show, he said.

"If you want to turn up just for an hour, turn up for an hour — it’s all about raising money for charity and getting people together.

"It’s important for people to have a chance to get their cars out there, a lot of people just get a warrant for something like the Rock and Hop and [their car] doesn’t go anywhere else.

"We’ll have a few trophies up for grabs as well, just things like kids choice and stuff like that."

The show will take place on Sunday from 10am-2pm.

There is a $10 car entry fee and a gold coin donation for spectators.
