Young fighters win big

Four Queenstown teens from the Youth Fight Science Team won their fights at Saturday’s Young Warrior Showdown in Christchurch in their debuts.

Horrocks says both Otis and Tajan won by TKO, while Roman and Moki had two dominant points wins — they both scored two eight-counts on their opponents.

He’s beyond impressed by their performances in their first scored fights, noting they "exceeded expectations’’.

"If they stick with it, they have everything it takes to be champions,’’ Horrocks says.
