Water quality at Sunshine Bay, Lake Wakatipu, Queenstown has improved so people are allowed back in the water.
A wastewater overflow at the bottom of Arawata Tce was reported to the Queenstown Lakes District Council on Monday.
Water was tested over the past few days and council infrastructure operations manager Simon Mason said yesterday the area was safe.
