A man was taken to Queenstown's Lakes District Hospital after his vehicle overturned after hitting a light pole on Frankton Rd this afternoon.
Sergeant Linda Stevens, of Queenstown, said he was the vehicle's sole occupant.
The crash occurred about 12.20pm outside the Remarkables Apartments complex.
The vehicle was travelling eastwards between central Queenstown and Frankton when it hit the pole and tipped over.
Traffic was delayed on the busy arterial route while roading contractors cleared debris and police examined the scene.
There was no word on the extent of the man's injuries.
