Police respond to a two-vehicle collision near Queenstown yesterday morning, the third crash within two days.

Police were called at 9.15am after the vehicles collided near a bend on Arthurs Point Rd, near the Edith Cavell Bridge.

Acting Senior Sergeant Steve Watt, of Queenstown, said he believed ‘‘alcohol was a factor’’ in a crash on Tuesday night, when a van ended up on its side on State Highway 6, near the Shotover Bridge.

At 2.30pm the same day a car and van collided on Fishermans Lane, on the Glenorchy-Queenstown Rd.

Snr Sgt Watt said charges were pending and confirmed the crash was likely caused by ‘‘inattention’’.
