Queenstown Airport has yet to be affected by Auckland’s jet fuel crisis, but is monitoring the situation.

Airport general manager of operations and safety Mike Clay said no flights from Auckland  to the resort had been cancelled as a result of last Thursday’s shutdown of the fuel pipeline from Marsden Point. However, the airport was "assessing potential operational impacts and contingency plans", Mr Clay said.

Queenstown Airport sourced its jet fuel from Dunedin, he said.

A Dunedin Airport spokeswoman said Dunedin was  unaffected by the jet fuel issue. Air New Zealand had just updated its list  of  cancelled flights for the next two days and no Dunedin flights were affected.
