In Queenstown, Fergburger customers did not need to deal with the usual queue.

The Shotover St burger bar has become the bellwether for the effects of coronavirus in Queenstown — a week ago the queue, as usual, stretched down the street.

Yesterday, the lines had all but disappeared — by 2pm about 20 people were waiting outside for their ‘‘Ferg fix’’.

Fergburger general manager Steve Bradley could not be reached for comment yesterday.
