The Shotover St burger bar has become the bellwether for the effects of coronavirus in Queenstown — a week ago the queue, as usual, stretched down the street.
Yesterday, the lines had all but disappeared — by 2pm about 20 people were waiting outside for their ‘‘Ferg fix’’.
Fergburger general manager Steve Bradley could not be reached for comment yesterday.
Over the hill in Wanaka just a few tourists and locals were enjoying the sunny, warm weather at the lakefront yesterday afternoon.
