Queenstown Taxis driver and co-managing director Nik Bhatt this week became the company’s ‘3million man’.

Established 13 years ago, when Queenstown Taxis amalgamated with Alpine Taxis, Bhatt’s pictured after completing the company’s three-millionth job on Tuesday.

Shareholder Darrin Evans says the oldest and largest Queenstown taxi company averages over 230,000 jobs a year..

Drivers take locals home from work, guests to their hotels, provide ski, wedding and event transport, transfers, sightseeing and winery tours, and travel as far away as Franz Josef, Christchurch, Dunedin, Mt Cook and Invercargill.

Meantime the company’s about to introduce new tech with rideshare apps to speed up the call process — more info will be available on Queenstown Taxis’ Facebook page.
