A new initiative, called huddl, has partnered with Mentoring Foundation of New Zealand to deliver the six-month ‘leadership in governance mentoring’ programme.
It’s designed to increase effectiveness in governance by developing capability, connection and confidence among participants.
Huddl’s taken over from Volunteer South, which delivered the programme the past two years.
Registrations from both mentors and mentees — those who’d like to be mentored — close next Wednesday via hello@huddl.nz
Queenstowner Fiona Reeve, huddl’s programme coordinator, says "the programme offers a valuable opportunity for mentees and mentors to access a proven mentoring model that provides ongoing support and advice to help leaders in their personal development".
"It’s also a fantastic way to foster connections with other leaders in the sector."
Huddl has been set up by a steering group including reps from a number of local organisations including Queenstown’s council, Sport Central, Central Lakes Trust and Whakatipu Community Hub.
"Huddl is here to empower organisations to be sustainable and thrive so they can do great things in our region, and the mentor programme plays a pivotal role in supporting this commitment," Reeve says.
