The "Focal Point" exhibition, which features 150 years of Otago Daily Times photographs and front pages, is on the move again - this time to Wanaka.
The exhibition has been on display at the Central Stories Museum and Art Gallery in Alexandra since July 3 and closed on Sunday.
It attracted a flurry of extra visitors in its final days, weekend staff at the museum said.
Although overall attendance numbers were not yet known, more than 800 had viewed the exhibition by late last week.
"There was wide interest in it," museum operations manager Shani Redmile said.
"People who came to see it included photographers, people connected with the area and tourists who were passing through.
"It seemed to appeal to a really wide cross-section of people," Ms Redmile said.
The exhibition opens tomorrow in the foyer of the Lake Wanaka Centre, where it will remain until the end of September.
It features selected images from a display that was staged at the Otago Museum for about seven months.
"Focal Point" marked the 150th anniversary of the newspaper.
Some photographs from the exhibition will also be displayed at the Maniototo Early Settlers Museum and Jubilee Museum, in Naseby, in December.
