More than 300 people watched as a Queenstown All Stars XI beat a New Zealand Open XI, featuring legends of cricket, at a sun-kissed Millbrook Resort in Queenstown last evening.

The NZ Open XI managed 121 runs from 10 overs, with double All Black Jeff Wilson hitting a whirlwind 52 before being sensationally caught by local Adam Hubber (pictured).

Ricky Ponting, Brendon McCullum, Stephen Fleming and All Black Israel Dagg all featured in the NZ Open side, coached by Sir Ian Botham, but they were easily run down by the local side with many wickets to spare.
