There’s going to be an international flavour to the gateway to Queenstown’s CBD — the flavour of chocolate.
Swiss chocolatier and confectionery company Lindt is opening a chocolate store in about April in the former ANZ bank premises on the high-profile corner of Ballarat and Camp Sts.
Lindt, which retails in more than 120 countries, opened its first New Zealand store in September in the new Manawa Bay shopping centre by Auckland International Airport — shoppers queued out the door on opening day.
It’s recruiting for a manager and an assistant manager.
The job ad says the store will employ about 20 staff and open daily from 10am till 9pm and up till 11pm at weekends.
Lindt stores are popular for their chocolate bars, truffles and hollow gold bunny chocolates.
They have ‘pick-and-mix’ stations where you bag up what you want, then have it weighed at the counter.
Also popular is Lindt’s Crema Gelato ice cream, while you can also order hot and cold chocolate drinks and coffee.
Lindt originated in Switzerland, where it’s still headquartered, in 1845.
