A pioneering bungy company will launch its new thrill ride in Queenstown early next month.
And AJ Hackett Bungy New Zealand is on the hunt for Australasia's ''most daring individual'' to be the first member of the public to try it.
Codenamed The Nevis Thriller, the new activity has been decades in gestation.
It is a ''a unique combination of height, flight and speed''.
The real name will be revealed at the global launch on Wednesday, August 8, at the company's remote Nevis site, near Gibbston.
The company is calling for those eager to try the Thriller to post a video on Instagram or Twitter or to the AJ Hackett Bungy New Zealand Facebook page saying why they should be the first to try the Thriller.
Entrants must use the hashtag #THRILLERNZ in the caption to go into the draw to win a trip to Queenstown, accommodation and the experience.
The competition closes at midnight on Tuesday, July 31, and is open exclusively to residents of Australia and New Zealand.
