Commissioners gave an interim decision on March 13 granting consent for 235 homes, 97 apartments, a rest-home, hospital and dementia-care facility, a medical centre, clubhouse, child-care facility, gym, restaurant-cafe and staff accommodation.
The Sanderson Group plans to develop the village over the next seven to eight years. It will sprawl across two triangular parcels of land between the Frankton-Ladies Mile Highway and the Kawarau River.
