Three Queenstown artists explore abstract painting and ceramics in a unique exhibition, entitled ‘Undefined Boundaries’, running from tonight (6-7.30pm) till next Wednesday in The Sherwood’s workshop space.

Andy Cammell and Natalie Perks explore the boundaries of abstract painting through their distinct yet complementary styles — the former focused on texture, colour and form and the latter using landscapes as inspiration.

While Cathy Ellegard’s ceramics are influenced by modernist architecture and nature.

Cammell says they’ve all only exhibited in group shows "but never had an exhibition with more than a couple of works in it".

None of the artists are full-time, "but we all love to make and create in our spare time".

During the exhibition, the artists are hosting workshops for people to make some abstract art — a children’s workshop on Sunday from 12 till 2pm and an adults’ workshop next Wednesday from 6 till 8pm.

Tickets for both from Eventbrite — search ‘Natalie Perks Artist’.
