TSS Earnslaw has moved to the Kelvin Heights slipway for its annual survey.

Maintenance work on the 107-year-old twin screw steamship began on Saturday.

In addition, there will be a ''modest refurbishment'' of the bridge-wheel house.

Earnslaw will be off the water until July 5.

During that time Fiordlander II and Explorer, both owned by Real Journeys, will transport passengers to and from Walter Peak.
