Next month, Wine Down, a wine tasting event, will be held in Queenstown, aiming to attract more than 400 visitors from all over New Zealand.
Organised by Paul Tugday, of Queenstown Resort College, the Wine Down was the second to be held and was a place where guests can "taste, learn, experience and buy".
"We also want the event to be unintimidating, fun and inspirational," Mr Tugday said.
"Wines from all over New Zealand and the rest of the world will be available on the day, along with great food, masterclasses and a chance to meet the people behind the wines.
"Our message is clear: First of all, you don't have to spend a fortune to drink great wine; secondly, it's always better to taste before you buy."
Along with two floors dedicated to wine tasting with the best of New Zealand and international varieties, food from QRC Catering would be on offer, as well as tasting masterclasses with international wine connoisseurs; a winemakers' lunch with Ben Batterbury of True South Dining Room and Grant Taylor from Valli Vineyards.
A wine passport would be available for people to record their favourite wines and order direct from the winery, or on the day.
Tickets will be available through TicketDirect.
Wine Down is on August 14 from 1pm to 7pm at Queenstown Resort College.
