A 30-year-old woman has been transported to Lakes District Hospital with a suspected broken nose after the vehicle she was driving was rear-ended by a bus in Queenstown last night.
The accident happened about 7.40pm on Lake Esplanade.
Senior Sergeant Darryl Lennane, of Dunedin, said the bus crashed into the back of a car trying to avoid another vehicle which had stopped to reverse in to a car park. The rear-ended vehicle was shunted forward into another.
In total, four vehicles were involved, Snr Sgt Lennane said.
Traffic was held up for a time.
A St John spokesman said an ambulance transported one patient to hospital with moderate injuries but was unable to confirm what those injuries were.
