Hundreds of parents and tots turned out to Arrowtown Plunket's annual Trash and Treasure sale at the Athenaeum Hall on Saturday, with foot-traffic inside the hall coming almost to a standstill as bargain-hunters sought out pre-loved goods.

The sale is the organisation's major fundraiser for the year with proceeds from the toys and children's clothing helping to ensure ongoing operation of the Arrowtown Plunket Rooms. Reporter Joe Dodgshun tagged along to snap the action.
