Tourism update this month

Market updates and research on Chinese visitors will be heard from both of New Zealand's tourism organisations when the Tourism Industry Roadshow pulls up in Queenstown.

Tourism New Zealand (TNZ) and the Tourism Industry Association (TIA) will hold six tourism updates for regional tourism operators throughout the country this month.

TNZ chief executive Kevin Bowler and TIA chief executive Tim Cossar will present their perspectives of the industry and the focus for both organisations over the next 12 months.

The half-day meeting will also include an overview of TNZ's current marketing programmes, information on its research on the expectation of visitors from China and a market-led conversation on the United States, Australia, China and the United Kingdom with TNZ's off-shore regional managers.

Operators interested in attending the update in the Copthorne Hotel on June 23 should contact Destination Queenstown by June 3.
