About 30 boarders of all sizes descended on the Queenstown Skate Park on Saturday to take on the inaugural Summa Sk8 Sesh, as part of the resort's Summerdaze festivities.
Luke Gaskell, of Queenstown, won the adult's section, with Dunedin's Hootie Andrews claiming the under 16 honours. Organiser Taran Campbell thought between 150 and 200 spectators had turned out to watch during the day, which was also organised to help raise funds for a revamp of the park, including lights, a beginners ramp and other small changes. Queenstown Times reporter Joe Dodgshun dropped by to capture some of the action.
