At least 10 shearers will compete for the title of best in the Wakatipu at tomorrow's Lake Hayes A and P Show shearing competition.

Heats begin at 9.30am, 11.30am and 2pm at the Lake Hayes Show Ground.

Bruce Hamilton (master-in-charge of shearing) thanked Jack Ellis, of Edendale, for the use of the Chicago-built shearing machine (pictured) for the competition, which returns to the A and P show programme for the first time this century.
