Wakatipu High School's fundraiser has been postponed until early next year because too few tickets were sold.
An afternoon's family entertainment and a evening gala was to take place at Jacks Point last Saturday.
Spokeswoman Jan Maxwell said the event would now take place at Jacks Point in January.
The sponsors had agreed to carry over their donations to the new year.
Wakatipu High School is a decile 10 school, which means it receives the minimum ministry funding. The money raised would be used to buy laptops and other computer equipment.
