Queenstown's Over The Top helicopter company has qualified for the Helicopter Association International (HAI) Operator Safety Award for 2010 - the twelfth year it has received safety award honours.
The international association awards operators and pilots annually for the safe operation of helicopters, promoting programmes which enhance safety and encourage professionalism.
Over The Top chief executive Louisa "Choppy" Patterson, who has operated the company for more than 24 years without incident, was delighted to be advised of the most recent accolade.
"Over the Top's philosophy is to operate the latest helicopters available with experienced local pilots and dedicated ground crew to ensure that the helicopter service we deliver in this mountainous environment is extraordinary and safe.
"The crew are absolutely delighted to receive this safety award accolade." she said.
