Wakatipu Rowing Club launched their new $33,000 quad boat on Saturday.
Named Alan Ruffell, in honour of Mr Ruffell's 20-year involvement with the club, it was bought from Cambridge, Waikato, with money raised from last year's Maadi Cup campaign, grants and the QAC giving $5000 towards sculls and fitting the boat out.
The club's open day will be held this Saturday.
