Why did you choose this job?
The leaders I work with are inspirational and it makes me work extra hard so I can some day surpass their greatness.
How many seasons have you been here and what made you come back?
This is my third season working for NZSki and I come back every year because the team I work with is the best in the universe.
Where are you from?
Japan and Canada ... which would make me Canapanese?
What kind of education did you have before you took up this job?
I have a background in politics and philosophy, which qualified me for a rental car company.
Which challenges come with the job?
Unpredictability. Mother nature and skifields can be besties, but other times, well, not so much. I'm still doing snow dances at night, but I think my neighbours think I've gone crazy.
Which skills are needed to do your job?
Eyes in the back of your head, at least 16 arms and a smile eight times that of Julia Roberts!
Who would your job appeal to?
You! As long as you have the skills and qualifications described above.
How are you settling in to life in Queenstown?
I'm a right ol' pioneer now.
What is your best advice to people who move to Queenstown for seasonal work?
Eat loads of fruit! Colds go viral pretty fast in QT so keep up that immune system!
What has been your most amusing, interesting or surprising on-the-job experience so far this season?
Being asked to hand-roll 200 frankfurters to serve our team for lunch. They were kidding ... it was 400.
