Forty-two people chose the 26km Arm Run from Jacks Point around Kelvin Peninsula along Frankton Arm towards the Kawarau bridge, continuing towards Queenstown to circle the Queenstown Gardens and end on Marine Pde.
A shorter version, from Willow Pl in Kelvin Heights and 10km towards Queenstown, attracted 57 participants.
Seventeen children and adults chose the 2.5km Junior Arm Fun Run.
The race was won by Queenstown athlete Adrian Bailey in 1hr 39min 29sec, followed by Darren Blackhurst in 1hr 48min 58sec and Adrian Camm in 1hr 51min 06sec.
The first woman to complete this distance was Jodi Currie in 2hr 5min 58sec.
"It had been a challenging run, as the track is very undulating, winding its way up and down the hills, so it is hard work to maintain a rhythm," Bailey said. He had been on the winning team at the Lake Hayes Triathlon on Good Friday.
"We are fortunate to have such fantastic tracks around here, so we should support local events like this one," he said.
The 10km run was won in 39min 19sec by Fynn Thompson (14), of Queenstown, who said the run had been "a hot run, but a good one".
Brent Cubis (Sydney) was second, in 41min 48sec, and Melanie Mitchell (Queenstown) third, in 42min 44sec.
