About 20 Queenstown Primary School pupils in years 7 and 8 were hard at work creating their own willow and tissue paper lanterns, on Friday, for the popular Winter Festival Mardi Gras tomorrow.
Festivities begin at 5.30pm and the street parade begins at 6pm.
