Chairwoman Annette Dalziel said several activities had been programmed for summer to keep people busy, which started on Wednesday with the annual cross-country run.
Only three runners showed up for the event, which was well behind last year's number, she said.
The association's new year programme will include a picnic in Fairlight on Saturday and a hat and bow tie day in Kingston on Monday.
Transport to Fairlight will be on historic train Kingston Flyer.
A photo competition was also running until January 4 and the winning pictures would be included on the association's website, she said.
The Kingston Golf Club will hold a "guns and hackers" day on December 29 for all abilities, with entry $25 per person.
This was one of the best days during the holiday period for residents and visitors alike "regardless of golfing prowess".
Other activities include a fun bowls event at the Kingsford Bowling Green on Saturday and a classic car show at the Kingston Hotel car park on Wednesday.
