Fun day at Jardine Park

The Kelvin Peninsula Community Association annual fun day this weekend is for families to enjoy everything from egg-and-spoon races and three-legged races, to mountain bike trails, a bouncy castle, water slide, target golf and a sausage sizzle.

KPCA president David Finlin said the fun day would be held on Saturday, with Sunday set as the postponement date.

Given the "runaway success" of the previous three fun days, Mr Finlin was certain even more peninsula locals would be taking part in the afternoon's activities.

"This is a great way to enjoy our families, friends and neighbours in our own backyard, Jardine Park."

The fun day runs from 3pm to 5pm on Saturday, or on Sunday if Saturday is wet.

Postpone-ment or cancellation advice will be given on More FM and the Breeze.

Mr Finlin advised everyone to bring togs, bikes and helmets, but " we'll provide the eggs, spoons and sacks".
