How are you settling into Queenstown?
I love it here. It has very much become home over the last two years. I'm not sure what I'll do when I have to leave.
What's the best advice you have for people who move to Queenstown for seasonal work?
Most importantly arrive with some savings; it can take a few weeks to get settled here. Arrive before the season kicks off. This gives you a better chance of finding a place to live. Apply for jobs before arriving, especially if you want to work one of the skifields.
I found the best way for summer work was just to canvass the town with your CV! Again and again and again! Employers want to know you are here for the season, make sure you go back a see them again in a week or so, just to reiterate the fact that you are still interested!
What's been the most amusing on-the-job experience so far this season?
Getting asked whether we were this busy during the summer - Ha! Ha! Ha!
