Drivers of two vehicles were lucky to walk away uninjured after both cars rolled down banks in Queenstown during the weekend.
Sergeant Steve Watt, of Queenstown, said the first incident happened at 11.40pm on Friday, when a 32-year-old Queenstown man lost control on gravel on McChesney Rd.
The driver overcorrected before the car rolled and skidded down a bank - landing on Gorge Rd and damaging a power pole.
A breath-test at the scene gave a blood-alcohol reading of 478mcg.
A 41-year-old Queenstown woman rolled her car yesterday on Littles Rd, travelling towards Coronet Peak.
Police processed four other drink-drivers, three of whom elected to have blood samples taken. The remaining drink-driver was a 23-year-old Queenstown man stopped on Gorge Rd at 6.20am on Saturday, who gave a blood-alcohol reading of 564mcg.
Police also charged a 25-year-old student from Palmerston North with "sexual offending".
Sgt Watt said the man exposed himself in front of a taxi carrying passengers on the corner of Shotover and Rees Sts at 1am yesterday.
Two males were charged with stealing firewood from a Glenda Dr address at 2.25am on Saturday and two tourists were charged with shoplifting from a local supermarket at 7pm on Saturday.
Sgt Watt said police also charged a 25-year-old man from Christchurch with assaulting a female, after they witnessed the man push the woman on Rees St.
