A man assaulted in Wanaka early yesterday remains in a critical condition in Dunedin Hospital.
The man, aged in his late 20s, was assaulted about 3am at the Night 'n' Day store on Ardmore St.
He sustained critical injuries in the assault and was flown to Dunedin Hospital.
Two men have been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and will appear in the Queenstown District Court on Monday.
Inquiries are continuing as to further charges.
