Surplus sale at school

The Upper Waitaki community will have an opportunity next month to view the new school buildings at Waitaki Valley School.

The brick junior school, which was demolished, is being replaced with a new building as part of a $3.9 million redevelopment.

Waitaki Valley School opened in 2004 on the Kurow Area School site following the merger of the Hakataramea Valley, Otematata and Kurow schools.

A clearing sale of surplus equipment, including chairs, tables, filing cabinets, desks, computer desks, shelving units, blackboards and other sundry items, will be held in the school grounds on November 1.
