New premises

Marilyn Muir, pictured outside ''Marilyn's Shop'' in the Palmerston town centre, which has reopened in the main street building occupied for 105 years by the Appleby family.

Marilyn's Shop, operated by Mrs Muir, opened yesterday. It carries a large range of new and second-hand toys, games and puzzles, and new and used clothing for men, women and children.

Marilyn's Shop had traded in Tiverton St, opposite Warrens Garage, for almost three years.

Mrs Muir acknowledged that everyone would still call the store Appleby's.
