Emergency services are attending a motorcycle crash near Trotters Gorge north of Palmerston this afternoon.
A police spokeswoman said a motorcycle with a sidecar has crashed on Horse Range Rd about 6km north of Palmerston and the passenger in the sidecar is thought to have suffered some type of minor to moderate back injury.
St John were also attending the accident but the status of the patient was unknown at this stage.
There appears to be no other vehicles involved in the accident, she said.
