Masterchef competition runner-up Jax Hamilton will bring her style of food preparation to Oamaru next month in a special event planned by Pen-y-bryn Lodge.
Lodge owners James Glucksman and James Boussy say Ms Hamilton will give a cooking demonstration before preparing a three-course dinner for up to 30 diners, on August 20.
They have already received inquiries for tickets.
Mr Glucksman said they had been planning to bring a top chef to the lodge for a special event and during a conference it was suggested they invite one of the MasterChef contestants. They contacted Ms Hamilton, of Christchurch, who said she would be happy to come.
